A leadership development initiative aimed at empowering young people across Belize was officially launched today in the Cayo District, with plans already underway to expand the program into other districts countrywide. The workshop, held at the Camalote Baptist Training Center in Camalote Village, brought together students from several high schools for a day of leadership training, mentorship, and personal development activities. The initiative is being spearheaded by the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Club (IVCF) of the Belmopan campus of the University of Belize in collaboration with counterparts from Canada. The program is designed to equip young people with practical leadership skills while encouraging positive decision-making and community involvement. Speaking with Love News, Courtenay Young and Diane explained that the workshop has attracted participation from a number of high schools. Meanwhile, Rebecca Estimay, a member of the visiting Canadian delegation, shared her excitement about partnering with Belizean students and contributing to the leadership initiative.
The organizers also noted that the Intervarsity Christian Fellowship Club operates exclusively at the Belmopan campus of the University of Belize and meets every Thursday evening at seven o’clock.\
