Youth representatives from across the country gathered yesterday at the Biltmore Plaza in Belize City for the first National Youth Forum held under the CARSI Project. The forum provided an opportunity for youth representatives to share ideas, discuss national issues, and contribute to conversations focused on the future development of Belize. The event also marked the closing ceremony for the 14-week Good Governance Course under the CARSI-ESF Grant initiative. A total of 156 students successfully graduated from the program yesterday after completing training centered on leadership, civic responsibility, and governance. The forum and training are part of the wider CARSI-ESF initiative, which continues to support youth and community development in Belize. Through its Economic Support Fund, the US Embassy also provides funding for community organizations working in areas like good governance, economic opportunities, citizen security, and youth empowerment through education and training. This support connects directly to yesterday’s Youth Forum, where young people are being encouraged to take part in shaping the future of the country of Belize.
