Minister of Transport Dr. Louis Zabaneh is assuring the public that steady progress is being made in assessing and improving the condition of buses now operating under the National Bus Company. Speaking with the media, Dr. Zabaneh explained that since the amalgamation of seventeen bus operators, efforts have been focused on organizing the fleet and ensuring that each region is effectively managed. He noted that the new structure allows for better coordination and oversight across the country’s transportation network. At the same time, attention is being given to the mechanical state of the buses, many of which were previously maintained under different systems.
Dr. Zabaneh shared that a network of mechanics has been established and is now working to familiarize themselves with the various buses that make up the national fleet. This process, he says, is key to standardizing maintenance practices and ensuring reliability across the system.
