The group stage draw for the 2026 BetVictor World Cup of Darts has been officially confirmed, with Trinidad and Tobago’s pairing of James Walklin and Joshua Balfour drawn in Group J alongside Latvia and Italy.

The 40-team tournament gets underway on June 11 in Frankfurt, Germany, with group stage action concluding on June 12. Following the completion of the group stage, a second draw will determine the knockout bracket. Only the winner of each group will advance to the knockout rounds.

While the official match schedule has not yet been released, T&T are expected to see action on June 12.

Speaking following the draw, Joshua Balfour expressed confidence in the team’s prospects.

“We are pleased with the draw and believe it presents us with a good opportunity to progress. We are confident in our ability and are looking forward to competing for top spot in the group,” said Balfour.

Walklin and Balfour are scheduled to depart T&T on Monday (June 8) as they prepare to represent the nation on one of darts’ biggest stages.

Meanwhile, fundraising efforts remain ongoing to assist with the team’s expenses.

A fundraising event is scheduled for today (Thursday, June 4), at Morry’s on Mucurapo Road, where supporters and members of the darts community will have the opportunity to show their support ahead of the team’s departure.

The T&T Darts Association (TTDA), via a release, extended gratitude to all supporters and sponsors who continue to assist the national team on its journey to the World Cup
