Sydney Peyrefitte Receives Partial Disclosure in Big Tom Murder Case

Tour guide Sydney Peyrefitte was back before the Belize City Magistrate’s Court yesterday where he was provided with partial disclosure in the murder case of Kenneth Flowers, also known as “Big Tom.” Peyrefitte, who has been on remand since October last year, appeared unrepresented before the Chief Magistrate where prosecutors handed over approximately ninety pages of disclosure material connected to the case.  Interestingly, however, the prosecution informed the court that additional evidence is still outstanding, including photographs and accompanying witness statements related to those images.  During the proceedings, Peyrefitte questioned whether he would also be receiving a DVD, claiming that police had indicated the fatal shooting was captured on video. The prosecutor responded that there is no such DVD in evidence to be disclosed at this time.  Peyrefitte is accused of the October 6, 2025, murder of Kenneth Flowers on Sittee Street in Belize City. He was initially arraigned two days later, on October 8, and has remained on remand since then.  The matter has been adjourned until July 28, when the court is expected to hear updates regarding the remaining disclosure material.
