Police have made a second arrest in connection with the shooting of Lionel Nigel Logan, which occurred in Ladyville last month, as investigations into the incident continue to progress. Authorities confirm that 21-year-old Brandon Christian Villamil, a Belizean unemployed of Bachelors Avenue, Belize City, has now been formally arrested and charged with Attempted Murder, Use of Deadly Means of Harm, and Dangerous Harm. The charges were laid on earlier today after he was cautioned upon his arrest and informed of his constitutional rights. The latest development follows the earlier arrest of 30-year-old Akeem Ferguson of Ladyville, who was charged shortly after the April 11 shooting. For context, the incident occurred on the night of Saturday, April 11, when police responded to reports of gunfire in the vicinity of Perez Road in Ladyville. Upon arrival, officers found Lionel Logan suffering from gunshot injuries. Investigations revealed that Logan had been walking in an off-road area when he was reportedly accosted by two men, one of whom produced a firearm and opened fire. Logan was left in critical condition following the attack.
