Search Intensifies for Missing Mother Deborah Arthurs

Police say the disappearance of twenty-eight-year-old Deborah “Bree” Arthurs remains under heavy and active investigation.  Arthurs, a resident of Belmopan and the mother of a nine-year-old boy, was reported missing after March 27, when she traveled to Belize City. Reports indicate that she had taken her son to the water taxi terminal for a visit with his father in San Pedro and was expected to return home shortly after.  However, shortly after midday, Arthurs was reportedly seen in the vicinity of La Popular Bakery on Cemetery Road. Witnesses say she entered a silver Chevy Equinox at that location, marking the last confirmed sighting of her.  Since then, Arthurs has made no contact with her family, and her phone has remained inactive. Relatives say this behavior is completely out of character, heightening fears for her safety.  Police have confirmed that investigators are pursuing multiple leads and that the case remains a priority. Authorities also disclosed that a third-party private investigator is now involved, working alongside law enforcement as efforts intensify to determine what happened.  Meanwhile, her family has stepped up its own search, issuing public appeals and offering a ten-thousand-dollar reward for information that could lead to her whereabouts. They are urging members of the public, both locally and abroad, to share her story and assist in any way possible.  Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belize Police Department, call 911, or reach out to Crime Stoppers at 922, where information can be provided anonymously.
