Santa Elena Man Dies After Domestic Dispute Turns Deadly

In the Cayo District, police are investigating the death of a thirty-six-year-old man following a domestic dispute in Santa Elena Town.  Authorities say the investigation began early yesterday morning shortly after five o’clock when police responded to a report in the Red Creek area of Santa Elena. Upon arrival, officers discovered the motionless body of thirty-six-year-old Leonard Pandy, a labourer of the area, with burn injuries to the left side of his body.  Initial investigations revealed that Pandy and his partner reportedly had a misunderstanding during which she allegedly threw a pot of hot water on him, causing severe injuries. Pandy was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.  His body now awaits a post-mortem examination as police continue their investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death.
