Red Bank man charged with unlawful sexual intercourse involving minor and social media allegations

Police have arrested and charged a Red Bank Village man in connection with allegations of unlawful sexual intercourse involving a minor.  Twenty-seven-year-old Jason Alexander Leal Miguel, a construction worker, was formally arrested and charged on Monday with three counts of unlawful sexual intercourse following the execution of a warrant.  According to police, the charges stem from a report made on April 2 by an eighteen-year-old woman from Santa Cruz Village. She told investigators that the incidents occurred between 2021 and 2022, during a past relationship when she was between fourteen and fifteen years old.  Authorities say the report also includes serious allegations that explicit content was recorded during that period and has recently been circulated on social media without the woman’s consent.  ASP Stacy Smith provided details on the case.

Police say the investigation remains active as they continue to gather evidence in relation to both the alleged offences and the reported circulation of the material.
