The murder case against Sidney Peyrefitte has been adjourned once again, marking another delay in proceedings as the prosecution remains without a prepared case file. The 50-year-old businessman, appeared today in the Belize City Magistrate’s Court, where the matter was called up for the fourth time since his arraignment. However, with no case file ready, the court was forced to grant another adjournment. He is now scheduled to return to court on Monday, May 11. Peyrefitte stands accused of the October 6, 2025 shooting death of Kenneth Flowers, also known as “Big Tom,” who was fatally shot on Sittee Street in Belize City. He was formally charged two days later, on October 8, and has remained on remand at the Belize Central Prison for the past six months. The matter is being heard before the Chief Magistrate, though today’s appearance took place before a Senior Magistrate. Peyrefitte remains without legal representation.
