Police have made a drug arrest following a domestic disturbance report that led officers to a man found in possession of illegal substances. According to authorities, officers responded to a domestic matter over the weekend, where one individual was being sought in connection with the report. However, during the course of that investigation, police say the situation took an unexpected turn when the suspect was found with drugs in his possession. The man was subsequently detained and later charged for drug-related offences. Police have not released the quantity or type of drugs recovered but confirm that the discovery was made during the initial response to the domestic complaint. ASP Stacy Smith provided further details on how the arrest unfolded.

Stacy Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Police: “The arrest of Pop followed police response to a domestic disturbance in Bella Vista Village on 12th April at around 11:00 am. Upon police’s arrival Pop attempted to flee however he was apprehended by the responding officers and a search of his person led to the discovery of several small parcels of foil paper containing suspected crack cocaine which when weighted amounted to 2.35 grams.”
