Belize@45 Planning Moves Ahead in Belmopan

Preparations are steadily advancing for Belize’s 45th year of independence, as the National Celebrations Commission convened its third planning meeting in Belmopan.  The session was chaired by Francis Fonseca, who also serves as Chairman of the Commission, and brought together key stakeholders involved in organizing this year’s Belize@45 celebrations.  Discussions during the meeting centered on several major planning components, including the upcoming Belize@45 Theme Competition, which is expected to invite public participation in shaping the message of this year’s festivities. Members also reviewed the National Celebrations Calendar of Events, outlining activities that will take place across the country in the lead-up to September.  Further updates are expected in the coming weeks as planning intensifies and more details on events and participation opportunities are announced.
