BDF Graduates New Batch of Medics


The Belize Defence Force is celebrating the successful completion of its latest Basic Military Medic course, a step made to strengthen Belize’s frontline emergency response capabilities.  The six-week intensive training program brought together participants from across the country’s security services, including the Belize Coast Guard and the Belize Police Department. Throughout the course, trainees were equipped with critical life-saving skills necessary for both combat and civilian environments. These included emergency medical response, trauma care, and casualty evacuation techniques conducted across land, maritime, and aerial scenarios, ensuring readiness for a wide range of real-world situations.  Top performers in the program were recognized for their outstanding achievement and commitment to excellence. Leading the cohort was Lance Corporal Lazaro D followed by Seaman Herrera J of the Coast Guard, and Police Constable Tzub T representing the Police Department’s Operations Group.
