Amazon Warriors to begin GSL title defense against Unicorns

GEORGETOWN, Guyana – The Lahore Qalandars will take on the Perth Scorchers XI in the opening match of this year’s ExxonMobil Guyana Global Super League (GSL).

The GSL officially unveiled the full match schedule for its highly anticipated 2026 edition, which is set to take place at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, from July 23 to August 1, 2026.

Following that match, the evening’s second game will see the home side and defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors taking on the San Francisco Unicorns under lights.

The tournament will feature five world-class T20 franchises: Guyana Amazon Warriors, Lahore Qalandars, Perth Scorchers XI, Desert Vipers, and San Francisco Unicorns, all competing in a fast-paced round-robin format leading into knockout finals.

The league stage will culminate on July 29, after which the top teams will advance to the knockout phase.

The Qualifier match (2nd place vs 3rd place) is scheduled for July 31, with the winner advancing to the championship match.

The tournament will conclude with the final on August 1, where the top-ranked team will face the Qualifier winner for the coveted GSL title.

All matches will be played at the iconic Providence Stadium.
