Amazing Facts Health Expo Opens With Free Specialist Care in Belize City

Day one of the 4-day Amazing Facts Health Expo opened this morning in Belize City, bringing free specialized medical services to residents from across the country.  The initiative is being hosted by Amazing Facts in collaboration with the Belize Union Mission of Seventh-day Adventists and the Ministry of Health & Wellness Belize.  With an estimated one hundred visiting doctors from the United States, the services include pediatric consultations, gynecological care, dental services, vision screening, and heart health checks.

Love News spoke with Dr. Javier Canul of the Western Regional Hospital, who spoke on the value of this collaboration between the local healthcare system, the Seventh-day Adventist Church, and Amazing Facts International.

Meanwhile, President of the Belize Seventh-day Adventist Church, Dr. Al Powell, highlighted that the services are designed to cater to men, women, and children, with a focus on both preventative care and treatment, including testing, dental, and vision services.

President of Amazing Facts International, Doug Batchelor, also shared how the organization came to host the event in Belize, noting the importance of partnerships in delivering community-based healthcare initiatives.

Organizers say the goal of the Health Expo is to ensure that no Belizean is left without access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation.  The Health Expo is designed to bridge the gap for Belizeans who may not otherwise have access to specialized medical care, offering services free of cost.
