Love News has been unofficially informed that Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amalia Mai, may be preparing to take up an ambassadorial posting in the near future. While there has been no formal announcement from the Government of Belize, sources indicate that such a move could form part of ongoing diplomatic adjustments within the ministry. When asked about the matter, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Francis Fonseca, did not confirm nor did he deny the reported development.

Francis Fonseca, Minister of Foreign Affairs: “That’s a matter for the office of the Prime Minister. So I’ll leave it for them to make any official announcement on that matter.”
Mai has served as CEO in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and has played a key role in advancing Belize’s diplomatic agenda, including engagement with international partners and multilateral organizations./
