Two Injured in Early Morning San Pedro Shooting After Confrontation

Investigators are working to determine what led to an early-morning shooting in San Pedro Town that left two people injured.  The incident occurred at around one forty-three on Sunday morning at Costless Shop on Lion Street. Police say a licensed firearm holder and a female companion had arrived at the establishment when two golf carts carrying several men pulled up.  The men allegedly began making derogatory remarks toward the woman, leading to a verbal confrontation that later became physical. Bottles were reportedly thrown between the two groups before three shots were fired.  Two people sustained injuries to the lower body. They were treated at the San Pedro Polyclinic and later released. Police recovered three expended nine-millimetre shells, while three people were detained for questioning.  Police are seeking surveillance footage to establish precisely what occurred, including who fired the shots and whether the licensed firearm was discharged during the confrontation.
