Two 19-Year-Olds Injured in Dangriga Shooting

In Dangriga, two nineteen-year-old men are recovering following a shooting outside Selena’s Restaurant on Saturday night.  Police say Kevon Higinio and Jim Mendez were outside the establishment at around eight-thirty when two-armed men dressed in black approached and fired several shots at them. The gunmen then escaped on foot.  Both victims were taken to the Southern Regional Hospital for medical care.  Investigators processed the scene and recovered several expended shells.  Police believe the shooting may be connected to an ongoing feud involving rival groups in Dangriga.  Police will hold a press brief this afternoon where updates on these investigations are to be provided.
