Several students suffered minor injuries yesterday after a school bus transporting students in the Toledo District overturned near Pueblo Viejo Village. According to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, the accident involved a bus assigned to transport students of Julian Cho Technical High School. Officials say approximately thirty-two students were on board at the time, including students from the Toledo ITVET institution. Images from the scene showed the school bus lying on its side in a roadside area following the incident. The Ministry confirmed that four students were transported to the San Antonio Polyclinic for treatment of what authorities described as minor injuries. The remaining students were safely transferred onto another bus to continue their journey. The Ministry said it was grateful that no serious injuries were reported and extended support to the students, families, and the wider school community affected by the accident. The Ministry also confirmed that an investigation is now underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident. Officials say the Ministry will continue working closely with the school community to provide any additional support that may be necessary.
