The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) has denied reports claiming that reigning men’s 100m World Champion Oblique Seville’s withdrawal from the World Athletics Relays arose over a dispute regarding airfare. Seville was listed as one of Jamaica’s representatives for the men’s 4x100m relay event at the upcmonig World Relays, but the athlete later withdrew from the squad. Reports had emerged that at the heart of Seville’s withdrawal from the squad was a dispute with the JAAA regarding the payment of his airfare.
