Dancehall star Alkaline’s third studio album NPT debuts at No. 10 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart dated April 4, 2026.
It is the first album released in 2026 to debut on the chart, the first new dancehall release to appear this year and positions Alkaline as the first Jamaican artist to make a chart debut in 2026.
His 2021 project Top Prize opened at No. 2 on the Reggae Albums chart with 2,957 first-week units, 1,527 of which were pure album sales according to Luminate (formerly MRC Data). That album stayed on the chart for one week. While his 2016 debut New Level Unlocked entered at No. 1 after selling 741 copies in its first week in the United States—his weakest album sales and highest-charting release to date. That album charted for 18 weeks.
Elsewhere on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart for the week of April 4, 2026, holding firm at No. 1 is Legend: The Best Of Bob Marley And The Wailers by Bob Marley and The Wailers, which adds to its remarkable 325 weeks chart run and 324 at the top.
At No. 2, Shaggy’s Best Of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection continues its steady run, now reaching 355 weeks on the chart, while No. 3 is occupied by Sean Paul’s The Trinity, logs 165 weeks.
In the middle of the chart, World On Fire by Stick Figure remains at No. 4 with 343 chart weeks, followed by another Sean Paul staple, Dutty Rock, at No. 5 with 308 weeks. At No. 6, UB40’s Greatest Hits extends its cover classics longevity to 384 weeks.
Further down, Stick Figure appears again at No. 7 with Wisdom, which has accumulated 184 weeks. More movement occurs at No. 8, where Live In St. Augustine by Rebelution re-enters the chart for a second week overall.
Exodus by Bob Marley & The Wailers, which slips to No. 9 with 127 weeks on the chart.
