Proven and Cornerstone to partner on projects

Proven Management Limited, investment manager of Proven Group Limited, announced plans to partner with Cornerstone Group, which indirectly holds the second largest stake in Proven through its subsidiary, Barita Investments.

The collaboration is intended to “unlock areas of shared interest and strategic alignment as opportunities emerge,” according to the release. It represents a significant step toward strengthening ties between the two groups and positioning their platforms for sustained growth. In particular, the partnership combines Proven’s expertise in real estate development with Cornerstone’s high quality property portfolio.

Proven reported total assets of US$1.2 billion and capital of some US$120 million as of September 2025, according to financials filed with the Jamaica Stock Exchange. Cornerstone, a private entity, disclosed in January that its holding company was valued at J$38.5 billion or roughly US$240 million in capital as of 2023. More recent financials have not been released publicly.

Cornerstone was founded by investment banker Paul Simpson, who serves as president and CEO. Businessman Mark Myers chairs Cornerstone. Myers has been nominated to join Proven’s board of directors, reinforcing alignment between the two firms.

“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to disciplined growth, strong governance, and long term value creation,” said Peter Bunting, chairman of Proven Management. He added that the regional and global environment makes collaborations of this nature compelling, particularly in the pursuit of efficiency, resilience, and expansion.
