Police formations across the country have stepped up their community outreach through weekly meet-and-greet operations aimed at strengthening trust and communication with residents. Officers visited homes and businesses in Seine Bight, Hattieville, Trial Farm, the Valley Community, Santa Cruz and Independence to hear concerns and discuss public safety.
In Hattieville, residents and business owners requested additional patrols, while business operators in Trial Farm received safety and security advice for the September celebrations. Santa Cruz residents also praised the regular foot, bicycle and motorcycle patrols in their community. In the Valley Community, residents welcomed the assignment of a dedicated police officer to the area. Meanwhile, residents of the Noralez Extension in Independence were encouraged to report suspicious activity promptly and consider establishing neighbourhood watch groups. The Police Department says the initiative forms part of its commitment to greater visibility, crime prevention and stronger cooperation between officers and the communities they serve.
