Police Investigate Early-Morning Burglary at Pletts Electronics Orange Walk Store

Police are investigating an early-morning burglary at a popular electronics store on Saturday.  at about 2:54 a.m., Orange Walk Police received information of a burglary in progress at Pletts Electronics, located at the corner of Cinderella Street and Queen Victoria Avenue. Relief Mobile and Quick Response Team (QRT) units were immediately dispatched to the scene.  Upon arrival, officers canvassed the area and discovered that a small hole had been broken through a cement wall facing the Adventist Church, which investigators believe was used by the suspects to gain access to the warehouse. No suspects were seen in the area at the time.  Briefing the media on the preliminary findings and the progress of the investigation, Stacy Smith, Assistant Superintendent of Police, explained what officers encountered and outlined police efforts to move the case forward.

Police are urging anyone with information that may assist in identifying the suspects or advancing the investigation to come forward.
