Police Advisory Committee Reviews Crime and Community Concerns in Seine Bight

The Police Advisory Committee met in Seine Bight today to review recent crime data, community-policing initiatives and outreach activities conducted during July.  The monthly meeting, held at the Seine Bight Police Sub-Formation Conference Room, included committee members, police representatives and a representative of the Placencia Polyclinic. Discussions focused on strategic law-enforcement updates and several concerns affecting communities in the Placencia area. Among the issues raised were incidents involving people experiencing mental health challenges.  The committee also reviewed ongoing community-oriented policing efforts and offered recommendations intended to strengthen cooperation between residents and the police.  The meeting was chaired by Police Advisory Committee President Steve Christensen. Attendees included Vice President Jodie Leslie, committee member Ewerth Garbutt and Dr. Kenton Hernandez of the Placencia Polyclinic.  Police representatives included Superintendent Nazario T’zib, Officer Commanding the Placencia Police Formation; Inspector Anibal Castellanos, Officer Commanding the Seine Bight Police Sub-Formation; Sergeant Aretha Gordon of the Community Oriented Policing Unit; and Corporal Roberto Ical of the Placencia Police Formation.
