NTUCB Backs Erven Marin for Seat on BTL Board

The National Trade Union Congress of Belize is calling on small shareholders of Belize Telemedia Limited to support Erven Marin for a seat on BTL’s Board of Directors. Marin is a former BTL employee with more than thirty-two years of service. The NTUCB says he has a record of promoting communication, accountability and integrity, and played a key role in the severance case that resulted in a major Caribbean Court of Justice ruling for employees. The Congress says small shareholders have lost confidence in the current representative, Eric Eusey, because of what it describes as limited consultation and communication. It is urging shareholders to attend BTL’s Annual General Meeting on September seventeenth, nominate Marin or submit proxy forms if they cannot attend. Several NTUCB affiliates, including the BCWU, BNTU, KHMHAWU and PSU, hold small shares in BTL.
