The Ministry of Immigration, Governance and Labour says there is currently no application fee for the Mexican Border Crossing Card. The clarification comes as the ministry updates the application process ahead of an expanded digital programme. Under the planned changes, eligible Mexican nationals would be able to visit anywhere in Belize for up to seven days. The previous arrangement allowed visits of up to three days, limited to the northern districts. In a release issued today, the ministry says the expansion is intended to encourage tourism and strengthen connections between Belize and Mexico. The confirmed application requirements and instructions have not yet been published. According to the ministry, those details will be released shortly through its official communication channels. Prospective applicants are being asked to wait for that guidance so they have accurate information before applying.
