Nevis Takes Center Stage in Lifetime’s New Film Starring Taye Diggs

The Caribbean island of Nevis, known for its secluded beaches, historic estates, and lush volcanic landscapes, will soon take center stage on screens across North America as the breathtaking setting for Lifetime’s upcoming romantic drama Terry McMillan Presents: Paradise with You, premiering Fall 2026 as part of the network’s popular Love of a Lifetime slate.

Filmed on location across the island, the production brings the natural beauty and timeless romance of Nevis to a global television audience. The film was facilitated by the Nevis Film Commission, with support from the Nevis Tourism Authority (NTA), marking another milestone in the island’s growing presence in international film and television and further highlighting its appeal as a premier filming destination in the Caribbean. The film captures Nevis’ distinctive blend of natural beauty, heritage architecture, and quiet Caribbean charm — elements that have increasingly attracted international filmmakers to the island.

The sultry romance stars SAG and NAACP winner Taye Diggs, who continues his celebrated run of Lifetime romance films, alongside Heather Hemmens, who also serves as executive producer, and Cynthia Bailey. The film also features Troy Brookins and Q Stenline (SwagBoyQ). The project marks the fourth collaboration between bestselling author Terry McMillan and Taye Diggs, reuniting them with the creative team behind The Ninth House.

In Paradise with You, Carter (Diggs), an NFL superstar on the brink of retirement, escapes to the Caribbean island of Nevis, drawn by its quiet beaches, historic estates, and slower pace of life. There, he meets Simone (Hemmens), an interior designer rebuilding her life after betrayal. What begins as an effortless island romance that unfolds against the island’s lush landscapes and timeless charm becomes complicated when the two discover they are competing for ownership of the same coveted estate, forcing them to decide whether love or ambition will ultimately shape their future.

For Nevis, hosting the production represents an opportunity to showcase the island’s unique character and cinematic appeal to a wide international audience.

The project was led by Nevis Film Commissioner Pamela Martin, who continues to expand the island’s visibility within the global production industry.

The movie is produced by The Ninth House in association with Motion Entertainment, a WPP Media company. Taye Diggs, Heather Hemmens, and Terry McMillan serve as executive producers, with Chet Fenster serving as executive producer for Motion Entertainment. Autumn Federici, Jake Helgren, and Emmy®-winning producer Shelby Stoneserve as producers for The Ninth House. Patricia Frontain directs from a script by Ejay Jamison.
