Miss World Belize Faith Noel Edgar has arrived in Vietnam, where she will represent the country at the 73rd Miss World Pageant. The 24-year-old dentistry student from San Pedro, Ambergris Caye, joins delegates from around the globe for nearly one month of activities. The Miss World Festival runs through September 5, when the grand finale is scheduled to be held in Ho Chi Minh City. Edgar was crowned Miss World Belize on June 14, 2025. While she now carries Belize’s hopes on the international stage, her journey is centred on much more than winning the crown. Her Beauty with a Purpose initiative, “Smiles for Belize,” seeks to improve access to dental care and oral-health education, particularly for children and families in underserved communities. Since becoming Miss World Belize, Edgar has taken the initiative to communities across the country, conducting fluoride clinics, teaching children proper oral-hygiene practices and distributing educational materials and dental-care kits. Edgar is also an athlete who plays volleyball and competes in sailing. In 2025, she made her international runway debut at Couture Fashion Week in New York, further strengthening her preparations for the Miss World stage. Now in Vietnam, Edgar will participate in a series of preliminary activities and challenges alongside the other contestants. The competition forms part of Miss World’s 15th anniversary celebration. For Edgar, the international appearance is an opportunity to showcase Belize’s culture and national pride while amplifying her message that preventive dental care should be accessible to every child.
