Miss World 1993 winner Lisa Hanna has officially introduced Lisa Hanna Beauty, a luxury skin care line rooted in what she calls “aging intelligently.” The seven-product collection is launching direct-to-consumer and at The Spa by Equinox Hotels.
Rather than promoting anti-aging ideals, Hanna’s brand embraces a more holistic philosophy.
“People are often told to fight or reverse aging,” she said to Beauty Inc. “I believe you’re not less with time — you’re more.”
The line is built around its proprietary “quantum ReCP technology,” blending lipids, vitamin C, and matrikin peptides designed to support the skin’s natural regeneration. Products range from the Hydra Dew Elixir and Advanced Balance Cleanser at $50 to a $130 serum aimed at improving texture and hydration. The collection also includes a dark-spot Fade Balm, a shimmering face and body oil, and a moisturizer called The Moisture Crème.
Hanna expects the brand to surpass $1 million in first-year sales, despite entering a highly competitive global beauty market.
“I’ve always embraced challenge and competition,” she said. “This is something I believe can not only survive — but thrive.”
Hanna rose to international prominence when she won Miss Jamaica and then Miss World at just 18. She later became a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations Development Programme, a television host of the program Rapping and a Member Of Parliament in Jamaica’s House of Representatives and was Minister of Culture, Genre, Entertainment and Sports.
Since retiring, she has generated several viral moments on her instagram as she shows off her physique, whether on the beach or in motivational videos.
The new beauty brand will support her charities with 5 percent of profits directed toward the Lisa Hannah foundation.
“This is more than a business,” Hanna said. “It’s about empowerment and breaking cycles that limit people.”
Though she didn’t grow up immersed in beauty culture, Hanna credits her Miss World experience with shaping her relationship to it. From mastering makeup techniques to learning global beauty practices, the journey helped her embrace what she describes as a “duality” between glamour and public service.
Looking ahead, Hanna plans to expand the line with new offerings, including an exfoliant and a vitamin-rich lip treatment, while staying focused on quality and customer feedback.
“I’ve always listened closely to people — whether in politics or now in business,” she said. “Understanding your community is everything.”
