Hurricane forces powerhouses from Best of the Best tennis tournament

The Best of the Best tennis tournament serves off on Thursday at 8 a.m. at the Eric Bell Tennis Centre, but the defending champions will be conspicuously absence when the first balls are struck. Mt Alvernia High, winners of the Division One Girls title at last year’s tournament, have been forced to withdraw from the competition due to financial constraints in the wake of Hurricane Melissa.
