The Forest Department is continuing work on its Institutional Review and Action Plan for 2026 to 2030. During a workshop held on Monday, staff reviewed and refined the department’s mission, vision and public-service values. The discussions also examined how the institution should respond to emerging challenges while better serving the people of Belize. The process is intended to strengthen the department’s governance and help build a more modern and effective organization. The workshops are being facilitated by the German Cooperation through GIZ Central America’s Selva Maya Programme.
