Authorities and concerned family members are continuing their search for 35-year-old Andy Onan Lizarraga, who has been missing under troubling circumstances. According to reports, Lizarraga was last seen on May 24th, 2026, in the vicinity of the Belize–Chetumal border area near the bypass. Since then, relatives say all attempts to contact him have been unsuccessful, raising growing fears for his well-being and safety. His mom, Rita Henry, describe the disappearance as highly unusual and say they are becoming increasingly desperate for answers as more time passes without any communication from him.
Rita Henry, Mother: “When I saw him Saturday when he came from church, he came to visit me but he just was a pass through and he only hailed me and he kissed me and told me “I love you” and he went inside drink a cup of water and he was with his daughter, they went to church. And from there I don’t know where they went. I live in Corozal Town and he lives in Corozal but in the village, Concepcion Village. He was not with anyone. He was not, that’s what was mentioned there but because you can’t put every information and that little piece of paper, he sent a video. And that video he sent it to his brother. And that’s why they knew where he was because he called his little brother, but his little brother was in Belmopan working at the moment. And looks like that’s the one that he confided in most. So he called him and tell him where he was and he said that he was going to Tulum, because that is where his lead is.”
The family is now appealing directly to the public for assistance, hoping someone may have seen him or may have information that could help investigators determine his whereabouts. At the time he was last seen, Andy Onan Lizarraga was reportedly dressed in khaki cargo shorts and a maroon shirt. Authorities are urging residents in the northern districts, motorists, and anyone who may have traveled through the area on that date to remain alert and report any possible sightings or relevant details. Anyone with information is asked to contact the nearest police station or reach out directly to his family members.
