Elvis Williams Charged for Fabers Road Shooting Incident

Police have arrested and charged one man in connection with a shooting incident on Fabers Road in Belize City that left another man injured.  Investigators say the victim sustained gunshot injuries during the incident and was transported for medical treatment. Police subsequently launched an investigation, which led to the detention of Elvis Williams.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Stacy Smith says Williams has since been formally arrested and charged in connection with the shooting.

ASP Stacy Smith, Police Public Relations Officer: “Police have formally arrested and charged 26-year-old Elvis Williams of the Belize City for the crime of abetment to commit aggravated assault. The arrest follows police investigation into a shooting incident that occurred on Saturday 8 August, 2026 at approximately 7 o’clock p.m. in the Faber’s Road area. The investigating officer reported that a male person visited the police station and reported that whilst he was at his residence, a motorcycle approached him and one of the male persons who were on board the motorcycle fired a single shot. Police are seeking another individual as a part of this ongoing investigation. He made the report in relation to the threat that he felt because he was fired upon.”
