Douglas heads strong team for April 4-6 Carifta Games

The Jamaica Athletics Administrative Association (JAAA) has named a strong team for the 2026 Carifta Games to be held in St George’s, Grenada between April 4-6. Jamaica’s athletes will defend the title they won last year with an overall tally of 78 medals - 30 gold, 27 silver and 21 bronze. Defending Under 20 double sprint champion Shanoya Douglas of Holland High will spearhead the girls U20 group. Douglas was outstanding at the Trials where she posted personal best times of 11.06 seconds and 22.58 seconds to win the 100 and 200 metres.
