Discover Airlines Announces Direct Frankfurt-Belize Flights for 2027

There was also news today of a planned air connection between Belize and Germany. Discover Airlines, the Lufthansa Group’s leisure carrier, has announced seasonal flights between Frankfurt and Belize City, beginning December sixteenth, 2027. According to Aviation24, the service will operate twice weekly, on Thursdays and Sundays, through mid-April 2028. The planned route would give Belize another connection to the European tourism market. We asked the Prime Minister for his reaction to the announcement.

John Briceño, Prime Minister of Belize: “There’s been something that successive governments have been working on. They’ve been trying to get this done for a very long time. And you have to give credit to Minister Mahler and the Ministry of Tourism, the BTB, and of course our government that we’ve be showing great successes in what we’re doing in this country. And so it’s big news for Belize and I do hope that then it will be able to boost our numbers in Belize because now we have direct flights from Europe.”

Tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-December this year.
