Copa profits halve as fuel costs bite, but Panama hub deepens Jamaica-Latin America connectivity

Copa Holdings, the parent company of Copa Airlines, reported a halving of its profit in the second quarter of 2026, but the Panama-based carrier maintained its position as the primary airline link between Jamaica and Latin America. The quarter reflected “the resilience of the company’s business model and disciplined execution amid a significantly higher jet fuel price environment”, the company stated in its earnings filing.
