Belizean Diaspora Gives Back Through Health and Education

A group of Belizeans living in the disapora are, giving back to the country through support for healthcare and education. The group, led by the Monarchy Consulting Group, visited the Magazine Dental Clinic today as part of their efforts to learn more about the work being done and explore ways to continue supporting Belizean communities. The visit followed a medical conference held on Monday, where health professionals and members of the diaspora came together to discuss ways they can contribute to improving healthcare in Belize. Beyond health services, the group has also been supporting students through tuition scholarships, helping young Belizeans continue their education. Monica Betson Montgomery of Monarchy Consulting Group says the goal is simple  to reconnect with Belize and use their resources to help where they can.

At the Magazine Dental Clinic, the group heard about the services being provided and the needs that still exist within the community. Head Dentist Osbert Usher says partnerships like these can make a difference, especially when they help expand access to dental care and support the next generation of healthcare professionals.

The group says its work is part of a wider effort by members of the Belizean diaspora to stay connected to the country and contribute in meaningful ways. /
