BDF and University of Belize Explore Expanded Education Partnership

The Belize Defence Force (BDF) and the University of Belize (UB) are exploring ways to expand cooperation in education and professional development.  Representatives from the BDF’s Training and Doctrine Directorate recently met with UB President Vincent Palacio and members of his staff to review existing programmes and discuss possible future initiatives involving the university and the Ministry of Defence and Border Security.  BDF representatives also attended the closing ceremony for UB’s Digital Literacy Programme, which included members of the force. According to the BDF, the programme provided participants with digital skills intended to support both their professional responsibilities and personal development.  With UB preparing for the upcoming academic year, the two institutions have established plans to continue their joint activities and identify areas for further collaboration.
